Two North Carolina residents were arrested after cutting over 2,000 fiber optic cables, cutting internet access for over 40,000 people. Finally, in this week’s “Who Got Pwned?” segment, a supply chain attack targeting Windows and MacOS users of the communication desktop client 3CX was detected by multiple security firms, and it was revealed that 3CX knew it had been flagged as malware for a week without taking action.
